Hi

I have just been to see an endo. and he has arranged for me to have a 24 hour urine test,

I think he said it is to for adrenaline. Is this the same as you are having?

I am getting palpitations and a fast heart rate, whilst I was at the appt. it was 120

I also have a slight tremor in my hands and also suffer from bad anxiety.

I had blood taken for TSH T4 and T3 to be tested as he said symptoms could be caused by been over medicated (but my last results in Feb. this year T4 and T3 were middle of range and TSH slightly suppressed)

He said if the bloods show I am not over medicated then the urine test may show something.

I have already done the Cortisol saliva test and showed the result to them to him but he still ordered the urine test.

What meds. are you on, are you hypo or hyper.

Best wishes browny

Hi, I have recently had my levo reduced to 100mcg to see if that would help with the palps, I was getting them at work, and when resting..I had them in Sunday after eating...my TSH, T4and T3 are to be tested in a few weeks. It is good that you are seeing an endo...I haven't had much joy with the various doctors...only this week when I asked about the various tests I thought I should have did the doc say I could do this one for VMA. I hope you get the appropriate help, it's been an awful last few weeks but am feeling hopeful that eventually I will be on the correct meds! I had my thyroid removed 10 years ago, think that makes me hypo but I could be wrong!!

Hi, yes I am sure if you had your thyroid removed you are hypo.

I was not getting much help from my G.P. so asked to be referred to an Endo, he wasn't any better so I ask for a second opinion and have just seen the second Endo. today. He was totally different, really nice and listened and said I will do my best to get you well again.

Why don't you ask your G.P. to refer you to an endo.

If you email Louise at the main Thyroid U.K. site she has a list of endos who have been recommended.

If you live anywhere near East Yorkshire I can recommend the one I've seen today.

Thank you very much, sadly I live nowhere near lovely Yorkshire!! I have been able to get Thyroid UKs information pack which includes names etc..of helpful docs and endos, but thank you anyway!!! I do hope now that you have someone who listens that you will be helped, it is such a relief when you find someone compassionate and understanding! Well done!!
