Hi all,

I have noticed this before but I have disregarded it but today, it is lasting longer than normal.

Is this as a result of medication i.e. Armour?

Hi Sandra,

It is quite a common symptom of hypo and hyper thyroidism. I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my left arm and hand when I'm under medicated and it's slightly intensified due to dropping meds recently and, I think, the heat. I'm actually experiencing tiny tingling electric shocks in both hands and forearms at the moment. I may raise my meds a tad to see whether that helps but I suspect the heat is exacerbating it.

Ok Thanks - any recommendations for me? I am only in my 2nd week of medication having recently raised to 1/2 a grain - I cant raise mine yet can I? I should be waiting for another 2 weeks before I raise it again.

Don't rush it, Sandra or you may crash. Try steeping your hands and forearms in cold water. If heat is causing the tingling this will relieve the tingling temporarily.

I'm also having carpal tunnel syndrom in my right hand. for me it helps stretching the muscles in the hand and arm. you may look up some videos on youtube that show how to do it.

also during my pregnancy I had my midwife doing acupuncture and all symptoms were gone immediately. I did not try it ever since but I don't see a reason why it shouldn't help!
