Does anyone else with hashimotos have issues with their hands. I hadn’t realised how much I actually did with my left hand. It was the first thing I ever noticed before I was diagnosed that and not being able to breath in cold weather properly when I used to row. It now huts so much and I keep dropping everything. It really is painful . It’s on the base of my thumb. Doctor says it’s carpel tunnel, but I know it’s not.

Reading some of your earlier posts I noticed it was suggested you took B12 alone as your result was below 500. CTS can be linked to low B12.
A specialist can check for carpel tunnel with a sort of electrical device. Hypothyroidism can cause carpel tunnel which resolves when adequately treated. You need TSH, fT3 and fT4 measured (all three) to assess your thyroid status.
Previous test results show very low ferritin at 38 and low B12
Have you had iron panel test for anaemia yet

Obviously all four vitamins need to be optimal
And you need to test TSH, Ft4 and ft3 together
Monitor My Health Is cheapest
How much do you weigh in kilo
Guidelines on dose levothyroxine by weight is approx 1.6mcg per kilo of your weight per day
HRT often means need higher dose levothyroxine than guidelines
Hi Slow Dragon, my doctor won’t give me an iron panel test. He says I’m definitely not anaemic and my iron and ferratin are fine and within range. Same as the last time with ft3. He says he requests them ,but they don’t do them.
Hi yes I have it and told me carpal tunnel. I have pins and needles in both wrists during night.
Could be arthritis
Hi there, they say not I’ve been tested and had scans to see if there was any damage, but nothing so far.
I had exactly the same thing when I was diagnosed. It's resolved now I'm on a higher dosage.
