I don't know about HRT and it could be due to menapause but I know female problems are rife in hypothyroidism. This is a link and maybe you may be undermedicated in your thyroid gland hormones. If you have had a recent blood test get a copy of your results, with the ranges, and post for comments.

Hi shaws thanks for link. I don't know what results for estrogen were GP said under 50.

I've had thyroid bloods plus vit d b12 ferritin on Tuesday, so will post them when I have them next week

As well as getting your sex hormones checked you should ask for your cortisol levels to be checked. Sex hormones and adrenals are all connected. Estrogen dominance may be causing your heavy bleeding.
