Hi
What did you have a TT for? And yes you should avoid goitrogenic foods - eat them only in small quantities and well cooked. You should probably also avoid gluten and wheat at the very least - most TT people do better on a diary free, sugar free low carb diet with plenty of good quality protein, lots of fresh water, and healthy fruits and veg. Making sure you balance electrolytes is also important after TT - eating enough unprocessed salt, and potassium rich foods is important. You prob also need to support your digestion and absorption with digestive enzymes and Betaine HCL.
Best wishes
Rebecca
I had a TT for cancer long time ago and I have never avoided goiterogenic food. I have never had any reaction from cabbage or anything else. My impression was that only people with a thyroid were affected by these foods?

As I don't have a thyroid I don't avoid anything that affects the thyroid!! I have no risk of a thyroid goitre
If you follow this link:
thyroidmanager.org/chapter/...
you will see many substances described by their effect on things to do with thyroid. Some only affect thyroid hormone secretion - which is obviously not the issue after a total thyroidectomy. Other affect transport proteins, or metabolism of thyroid hormones outside the thyroid, TSH secretion (which might affect how your doctors adust any thyroid hormone dosing), or possibly other impacts. And do bear in mind, that link is definitely not complete!
