Yes, I posted about this a year ago when I felt my worst. I believe a plastic filling either made my hypothyroidism worse or started it off.
Strewth! I have defended my old mercury fillings against many a greedy dentist. Don't I feel vindicated!
And, of course, thyroid sufferers should have their thyroid shielded when (as is now routine at the dentist) they take x-rays of one's teeth. Mine refused to provide one last time I was in The Chair. 'you don't need that' he said, as he retreated behind his lead screen. I don't think they even had one! Grrr. However, I only do the dentist about once every 10 years (being phobic) and barring accidents (fingers x-ed) I shan't be seeing HIM again.
