I am afraid that there is not.

If anyone sold levothyroxine in the UK without a prescription they could face fines and/or gaol.

This is an example of a case (for steroids rather than levothyroxine).

There are ways of buying from abroad without a prescription but be very careful. I suggest only using suppliers recommended to you (e.g. by Private Message from here).

Can you not go to your doctor and get them on prescription? If you have you not been properly diagnosed why on earth did he give them to you in the first place. Your symptoms could be anything. You do realise that the medication is for life once you start to take it. If you have all these aches and pains go back to your doctor. If you do have an underactive thyroid you will ache in every joint of your body, even my heels felt numb. You will be unable to sleep as you get leg cramps, and night sweats. It has to be said that some doctors adhere to a slightly different measuring scale than others. Ask for more bloods. Until you get to the bottom of your problem don't give up, be assertive. It usually takes a lot more than one vsiit in order to get sorted. I was lucky as I finally found a young switched on lady doctor at my practice, who listened, did'nt try to tell me that I was depressed or anything silly like that and she got my bloods sorted. I'am loads better now thanks to her.

GOOD LUCK

i was treated from may to november but had racing heart, ecg xry an bloods all came back fine, was taken of levo november nand seen endo who is convinced my symptoms mimic hypo they are not caused by hypo and i dont need mediation as TSH6 (was 5.2 in august) so clearly rising, he will consider medication if and when my TSH reaches 10, in the early days i was at the dr's 3 times a week with fast pulse ect and seen every dr in the practise

Just a suggestion, ask for a print out of your bloods and their ranges and post them up on here for others to read them. Thyroid bloods often read normal even though the patient is feeling far from normal with all their symptoms.

Also read up about B12 as B12 symptoms mimic Hypothyroidism, we are trying to work out if someone in our family is Hypo or B12 deficient as most of the symptoms are very similar.

Suggest you repost them Mandy. It's a bit much to expect people to search all your posts for your results.

If the endo said your symptoms mimic hypo symptoms didn't your GP investigate further. How useless is it to tell someone what it isn't without going on to discover what it is?
