I posted bloods last week that showed I had overmedicated. I cut out Levo for a few days and have now reduced dose to 125 from 175 and feeling a bit better.

I have got the remainder of the tests back, but I am not sure what they all mean together.

I am to have repeats done on Monday morning, do you think there is anything missing that should add to the list to be redone ? Thank You for your help.

VitD would be good to test, Evey.

You don't appear to have autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's).

You need a scrip for 5mg folic acid to sort your folate.

B12 is very low in range so it would be wise to self supplement. Wait until you have folate retest and supplement together as they're co-dependant.

Ferritin looks low but iron good in range. I'm not sure of the significance. Hopefully someone will explain.

I have something called hypoferritinemia, which is a very posh name for having low ferritin levels without anaemia and should be treated in exactly the same way as normal anaemia. My gastro, who diagnosed this, has me on ferrous sulphate 200mg to increase my ferritin level.

Your GP needs to do a full iron panel for you to see exactly what is going on.

You might want to look around this site for info as low B12 and low folate level could indicate pernicious anaemia.

You bloods will reduce now you have taken less levo and it will take about six weeks altogether before you have your next blood test which will most probably show that your blood levels have reached a level which is good for you.
