it improve .both nerves in larynx? were seen to be in tact but voice seems less now than post op.Has any one else had this problem

Friend who had a partial thyroidectomy had a problem with his voice. He was reduced to whispering for quite a while and as you say no power in his voiced but he had speech therapy / did all his exercises and now has his voice is pretty much back to what it was. Ask if you can be referred for speech therapy.

Give it time. You've been through a trauma. There is a lot of bruising inside. Mine tool a few weeks to recover. Take care.

Hi i had tt 6 months ago, my normal speaking voice is ok, but i cant speak high or low, my voice is monotone, i have had speach therapy which really helped but its very early days for you, and voice recovery will take time, so be patient and dont worry just concentrate on recovering from your op.

My friend probably took over a year to get back to normal - it was very gradual too.

I had a TT 3 months ago, it took about two weeks for me. Getting my medication right has been a real headache though, weight gain and loss of energy really stinks.

Give it some time, it will return

im on 175 levothyroxine, just been increased from150 feel like a zombie most of time energy comes and goes. keep getting hot flushes and sweats as the day progresses.shakes also rally short tempered= is this normal and does it settle im qlmost 2wks post op

I had two wait 2 months before i could have any levo increase i started on 100micro and still only went up too 125 micro and thats 6 months after my tt
