I'm in range based on these figures (aren't i)??? Yet I'm feeling so rough again. The usual symptoms in line with overactive thyroid. Seeing Endo on Monday but wondered what everyone thought about the results. I feel so frustrated that my Endo will just say in within range so will keep me on meds as I'm taking now. I'm on block and replace 300mg propylthiouracil and 75mg thyroxin at present.
My new bloods read TSH 1.6, T3 4.1 (3.5 to 6.5)... - Thyroid UK
My new bloods read TSH 1.6, T3 4.1 (3.5 to 6.5) and T4 16.6 (10-20) I have been suffering with usual overactive symptoms.

Thank you for that. I was thinking the same but unfortunately never have enough info. It's more than frustrating as after the first 12 months my meds seemed to be working yet the past few weeks I've gradually felt like going downhill. Would this indicate that I am still overactive or under do you think?
Are you saying you are overactive or underactive? Your doctor should be able to decrease or increase your thyroxine accordingly. It's not about getting you within the reference intervals, it's about getting you clinically euthyroid.
Hi jimh111. I was diagnosed as overactive and the symptoms I am suffering from now are the exact same as before I was diagnosed. Basically since being diagnosed I have been well most of time but every few weeks I seem to go downhill again. My Endo says this can be normal due to hormones around the time of my periods. What he says is that if he starts tinkering with the meds it could get worse. However, since Christmas my symptoms are showing over activity but with no improvement, if anything I feel I'm getting worse. I'm due to see him Monday evening so I think I will be demanding different answers as I know I'm just not right. By the way I'm seeing an Endo privately not via the NHS. Thanks everyone for the support.
