Hi

The selenium helps convert the T4 into T3 so maybe this is what's happening already. I am waiting on more tests then I am going to supplement with selenium and I will also add the zinc

anniekaren I am glad the selenium/zinc seems to be helping your husband.

Always get a print-out of his thyroid gland blood test results for your own records and if you have queries, you can post them, with the ranges, for members to comment.

For those who're fed up munching on tablets and capsules, Brazil nuts are an excellent source of selenium. 4 x Brazils are roughly equivalent to the RDA of 200mcg selenium.
