Can anyone tell me exactly what I should be tested for in realtion to underactive thyroid? My GP tested for TSH and T4?

Make sure your doctor does all of the thyroid tests mentioned as well as the vitamin/mineral tests.

Once you have had the tests done and the results back post them on here with their reference ranges and then members can give you their comments and advice.
