Have been lurking on here for a while now, and have gained so much knowledge from your postings and answers.(Thank you.)
I'm now on 75mcg of levothyroxine plus 1,000iu vit D, but feeling tired and am still having jumping around pains all over, lasting from a few seconds to a couple of minuets. Some pains are sharp and unexpected whilst others longer and deeper in strength, sometimes I'm having several pains going on at the same time. (also tingling in my fingers.)
At any time of the day when I stop and concentrate on my body I realise I am never pain free. (I don't like taking pain killers as I prefer to know what my body is up to)
Before all this pain, I was quite an active person, on the go all the time and kept the same weight and size as in my early twenties, not so now, the weight is gradually going on and I feel that exercise will add to the pain.
Doctor has ordered more blood tests, think it was B12, vit D, Iron, plus a couple more I cannot remember. (Old age )
Any advice or tips before I go back to Doctor for the results would be much appreciated.
Thanking you
Coastwalker.

Is it worth at all mentioning fibromyalgia.....I hear there is a connection sometimes or it could be that you are not converting very well! I have fibro for approx 8 years and hypothyroid which is only just diagnosed. I was also very vit d deficient and anemic at one point due to girl stuff.
Did wonder about Fibromyalgia Anuba, also reading from member's posts on here I could be B12 deficient, need a higher dosage of vit D ? and maybe some Iron for the tiredness too.
When I first went to my old Doctor, (now retired) I asked if I could take some vitamins and Iron to help make me feel better I was told no as it would interfere with my blood test results, but I'm sure my body is telling me that I do need something to help perk me up a bit
No Moggie I don't, but nurse said to ask the Doctor when I next visit for my blood test results.
Very lucky to get where I am now thanks to spot on Doctors (so far) and ThyroidUK site, certainly didn't expect to get this far after reading some member's stories on here.
Though if I hadn't have prompted my Doc. that he hadn't written up on screen I also needed a vit D blood test, then told the surprised nurse that I also needed a vit D blood test, she had to look it up on screen to check, I might not have been so lucky to get this far, (so good job I had been on the ball and prompted the Doc.)
I now double check which bloods with Doctor and again with the nurse, to be sure, to be doubly sure.
Though the last lot of bloods were too many to remember individually so I will ask for a print out from Doc.
Just remember to get copies of the test results as the serum B12 test is flawed and the range is set too low. Hopefully your doc is testing folate and ferritin as well.
Fibromyalgia is considered by many intelligent doctors to be untreated hypothyroidism, so I would not put it into your doctor's head if I were you. Many people are diagnosed and suffer with pain for years, before being diagnosed. It is all the fault of the TSH blood test, where doctors rely on the result instead of symptoms. Suspect all your pain is caused by needing a higher dose of Levo but cannot tell without blood result for T4 and T 3. Hope you get all the results quickly and can post here for someone to comment.
Sometimes folate is tested automatically with B12, sometimes not. Worth asking for it afterwards if it hasn't been done, particularly if you have a sore mouth. H x
Did think the all over pains were probably caused by the Hypothyroidism itself, but pleased to be given the chance to be tested for at least Vit D again, B12 + Iron for the tiredness as I'm hoping just to be lacking in something.
Hampster1's 'Link' on B12 deficiency mentions about dried/cracked sides of the mouth which is spot on, so this pointer might help.
