How can HU be persuaded to help?

I only asked to be able to see my messages, to get email notifications, to see my history - no dice.

Should I just keep sending the same email and pester till I get to the top of they-are-so-irritating-get-it-sorted pile?

Have you filled in your email preferences correctly? and do you not have any of your recent history when you look under your profile.

there is no 'recent history' heading in my profile. Messages (at least some) are there, in reverse date order (oldest first) and American date format. I have a brand new machine and HU often, still, runs slow here.

Since the topic is up again. :) Louise has been passing on problems, but there seems to be little by way of any predictable response.

The site is running slowly/won't open a page/fails to post messages quite frequently. My private messaging has been showing two 'unread' messages and displaying messages out of sequence from the start.

I've no idea how the various lists of messages displayed in the 'latest activity', 'news feed', and in the e-mail 'notification' (which talks of it being what's new on Health Unlocked which it isn't - it's Thyroid UK - and which anyway doesn't properly display on a Mac) are compiled, as they don't seem to correspond - and they update all the time.

This makes them pretty much useless as a means of dropping back in to find a given message or topic - it's not clear where it's likely to have ended up.

It's not clear anyway what use they are over and above displaying a simple listing of actual messages in time sequence.

The actual messages (which are split between 'questions' and 'posts' - a pretty unintelligible distinction for most judging by the lack of any clear sorting of the types of messages ending up in each) are as a result (of this other stuff parked up front) four 'clicks'/selections/levels in from the home page! Via links the titles of which are less than intuitively clear....

Having got there the lists of messages are not date or time marked - with the result that (short of having a perfect recollection of a topic title) it's very difficult to get back to an old message. The search options are very limited.

I don't mean to be negative, but all in all the new set up is far from user friendly - certainly not compared to e.g. vBulletin which seems to be pretty much the stock forum/message board software these days...

Well, the existence of this 'public profile' is a revelation! What a bizarre place to put such a useful function. And what a bizarre thing to call it. Thank you for pointing me to it.

Regrettably I have no idea how to 'submit a ticket'. Nor have I any idea how to attached a screenshot to a message. Sorry.

Thanks for taking time out to answer all of these queries Amedeo. :) xx

I have found the place you mean, I think. What do you want me to put in this 'ticket'?

BTW I am finding the 'view public profile' very useful.

I see that someone has deleted one of my posts. I wonder who and why? I don't see how it could possibly have offended anyone. Which is something I am anxious to avoid. Please can you tell me why it's gone?
