What can i mix comfrey powder with to make a paste to put on my super-sensitive tooth ?

I figure since comfrey is known to mend bones, it may do something for my open tubules that are causing extreme sensitivity. At this point i can only eat soup, ripe bananas and mash.

I do not do traditional dentists; this came on after work by a holistic dentist who has said there is nothing to be done. Clove oil didn't work, neither salt rinses, neither arnica.

Am also taking hypericum tabs as it is meant to mend nerve damage.

I want to give the comfrey a try at the same time. For now i've been mixing it with my natural toothpaste which is thin and runny. I need a more paste -like consistency

Hi Bluedaffodil,

just an idea to use coconut oil, some people use it for oil-pulling too.

I came across this site that may be of interest to you, you might find some ideas there.

If you want to hold the powder in place while you eat you could try sticking chewing gum over the powdered tooth ?

PS; i have read that comfrey can be harsh on your liver so use with caution.

NB:

Fresh leaves can be applied to bruises, fractures, sprains, and other injuries. Many healing effects of comfrey are attributable to allantoin, a compound shown to speed cell production both inside and outside the body. Comfrey works so fast that many herbalists will add antibacterial herbs such as goldenseal or thyme to comfrey salves to prevent sealing bacteria inside a fast healing wound.

Oh dear, nothing is simple

Apparently Dr Christophers tooth and gum powder can help, but I haven't tried it. Strontium supplements might help, too. Coconut oil is helpful for teeth, as is oregano oil (but very strong). Both can kill bacteria in the mouth.

I read about Dr Christopher's but couldn't source it

I've had a lot of trouble these last months with several back teeth on my left side 'wanging' when i eat. I've noticed it happens more when I have overdosed a bit on the T3 ( I'm on T3 only). Like you I tried everything, including Sensodyne Rapid Relief , which caused serious acid reflux. My dentist was suggesting root canal . It certainly interferes with the pleasure of a nice meal.

Searching the web I came across Tooth Builder fluoride-free Sensitive Toothpaste, and happily it works for me.

The active substance is xylitol. I rub it on before a meal. Hope it works for you.

SO YES COMFREY LEAF IS AN AMAZING WOUND HEALER BUT REMEMBER IF THERES AN INFECTION IT MAY SEAL IN THE INFECTION BECAUSE IT REGENERATES SKIN SO RAPIDLY AND YOU DONT WANT NEW SKIN TO FORM OVER AN INFECTION OR DISEASE

THATS WHY YOU WOULD WANT A COMBO OF HERBS

SOME THAT REGENERATE SKIN SOME THAT ARE ANTI MICROBILAS SOME THAT HEAL THE BONE AND SOME THAT TIGHTEN THE GUMS

THIS IS MY TOOTH POWDER FORMULA

ORGANIC

CALENDULA POWDER

PLANTAIN POWDER

WHITE OAK BARK POWDER

COMFREY LEAF

LICORICE LEAF

HORSETAIL POWDER

AND PER ONE OZ OF DRY HERB 1/8 TSP STEVIA EXTRACT POWDER

PER ONE OZ OF DRY HERB 1 DROP PEPPERMINT OIL

ALSO I ADD VEGETABLE GLYCERIN TO MAKE IT INTO A PASTE

ALTERNATIVELY IF YOU DONT WANT TO MAKE YOUR OWN

THERE IS A PRODUCT CALLED DR CHRISTOPHERS TOOTH POWDER

ITS SIMILAR TO MY RECIPE

So you use 1oz of each leaf/powder/extract? did I get that right? thanks!
