toxic what does this mean?

underactive for around months on 75 levo but feeling so ill, my temp was 34.5 an hour ago , i am so cold my head huts and so tired,,,,,am i toxic, if so what do i do ? been sleepy and cold and feeling sick all day

If you have your last thyroid gland blood tests, post them in a new question together with the ranges.

It doesn't sound as if you are toxic to me, you could be undermedicated.

Go back to your GP and ask for new blood tests and Vitamin B12, Vit D, iron ferritin and folate and post the results for members to comment.

i have had all these done and doctor says they were normal. i posted them on here after and was told they were not normal, doctors do not care so i just cannot go back and ask again as they make me feel so stupid

It's definitely not you that's stupid. I don't know why they ignore clinical symptoms.

If you email [e-mail] and ask for a copy of the Pulse Online article by Dr Toft of the British Thyroid Association and give a copy to your GP, highlighting question 6.You can send/leave a copy for him to read before your new appointment so that he knows why you want to discuss the importance of you trying to get better. We have to be determined and educate some doctors.

I gave my own GP a copy as it also tells them how to treat other thyroid gland problems too. It may also help other patients he/she has.

Hi Lola, you're temperature is way way too low like someone with hypothermia. It should be cruising at around 37 deg. No wonder you're cold and sleepy.

You need an urgent rise in meds. I think you should try and see your doctor as soon as possible.

When i was on 75mcg my TSH went higher, this could be happening to you as your dose is low.

hi thank you for your reply my temp is down again to 34.2 so i will do as shaws does then see doctor as you suggest, feeling really ill and hard to think to type, thankyou
