This is not related to this community and don't want to say which, but can anyone (admin?) advise what I can possibly do if a member stops communication with me or this site? Now her member name comes up as 'no activity'.
I'm really upset and worried, we became really close friends.
Thank you.

Admins (here or on any other HU community) would not see such emails. HU will not release email addresses but they might at least be able to provide a technical explanation.
You have probably already tried this, but if not you could try sending the member a personal message (PM). I wonder if he/she was upset by the site upgrade - it could be this if the timing ties in - think that happened at the end of July xx
Hello, yes we ended up communicating by PM, but it all stopped before the changes. Thank you.
HU have plans to reach out to people who have slipped away - if this was the reason then hopefully she will come back...
The only other thing I can suggest is finding other groups relating to the other condition to see if she is on one of those..
For example, there are people here that are also on the FB groups - obviously, it is not always easy to recognise someone...!
*sigh*
If they are showing as no activity, I think that would mean that they had either closed their own account, or have been removed by HU for some reason... I would definitely suggest contacting HU for whatever help they can offer..
Hello, yes I have tried to look at other links that the member has communicated in but it seems to have stopped altogether. Thank you for the suggestions.
She may have another medical condition that is associated with Thyroid conditions, she may be reading your article and get in touch.
I am still here, still searching and finding info that benefits all. I don't always use the computer, I look through all me old books that are almost as old as I am.
Yes I understand. Thank you. The member contacted me through the P.M. on here and I learned some great things to help me cope. It just seems to have stopped.
I doubt if there is anything the other group's admins can do to help you. They won't be able to give you the member's contact details as that would be a breach of confidence and data protection. There may be any number of reasons why she is no longer in contact with you. As others say, she may have just left the site, which sounds likely if she is no longer active. She may have family or personal problems that mean she isn't able to be online for a while. What a shame that you never thought to exchange email addresses or skype contact details.
I presume you've tried sending her a message through the message system. These send the member a notification. If she is ignoring those then, for some reason, she doesn't want to be contacted or doesn't want anything to do with the group in question. I wonder if a fellow member upset or offended her?
Everything happens for a reason, Sometimes we spend so much time wondering why, it happens. We accept it, you may have a reply soon, until then, there are always other friends out there,, they cannot replace the friendship you have lost, It can be extra.
