Advice Needed Please

Would be very grateful for any advice from you lovely people. I'm meant to be having my second covid jab late tomorrow afternoon but I'm feeling really, really, awful - think the Graves is jumping around a bit. Would you be incllined to defer it? Had my first one in February which wasn't a problem but I felt more stable then. Thank you as always!

I would see how you feel tomorrow Delgor. Anxiety can be worse at night and you might feel differently tomorrow. I’m sure you will be able to rearrange if you feel the same way. Look after yourself and don’t put your body through any unnecessary stress.

You definitely need some support from forum members in helping you optimise your thyroid medication/ key vitamins. I know my anxiety flares when these are not optimal. Can you share your current symptoms?

Thanks for replying Buddy and yes I'm undoubtedly feeling anxious but only because I feel so unwell and don't know whether to defer it. I'm not at all techy but think if you click on my name you will see recent posts which will explain that I'm both hypo and hyper and now feeling the worst I've ever felt in my life - aah!

Ive just rearranged a second jab for a family member who is poorly, so it’s fairly easy to defer the date. You don’t need to add to your anxiety. I’ve fluctuated between hyper and hypo several times and felt like I’m on a rollercoaster I can’t get off.

You could ring surgery and ask to speak to GP for advice. When you get to 💉 vaccination centre, they will ask you questions about your health and if you don't feel well at that time, they can rearrange the date. Or you can cancel and rebook a later date online if you registered online in the first place.

Thanks Nanaedake - trust my appt. to be on a Sunday but yes that sounds good to me as I just want to avoid any more complications at the moment. Hugs!

I forgot tomorrow was Sunday and no GP service! I hope you're feeling better soon.

Hi Delgor,

Ooh, that is difficult, and I understand where you're coming from. I wasn't at all well when I had the 1st jab.

How long have you got before you are 12 weeks from the 1st jab?

Thanks Nellie, It's 12 weeks today but not until 5.00 pm so will just have to see what the situation is then and maybe sent hubby on his own.

Hi Delgor, I would be inclined to re-arrange my appointment, I'm sure it won't. be a problem as your not feeling a 100%. I think waiting till the date your due to get your 2nd dose would be a little late and the might say you are to late in letting them know. Hope you get on ok.

Thanks Rosco, I did actually manage to get there and get the 2nd covid jab - really pleased to have got it out the way and it's now fingers crossed!
