I feel my doctor has been very thorough but as in other posts,on second test 2 month later i am told i will stay on 50mcg of Levo,i did start to feel more awake but am now starting to feel tired during the day and this came on before i was last tested so i thought my dose would have been adjusted,tested are as follows.....
Serum TSH level (XaELV).....Above range....9.0 miu/L (0.3-5.0) Suggests under replaced with Thyroxine-Outside reference range.
Serum Vitamin B12 level
Serum Folate Level
Serum Ferritin Level
Haemoglobin...................If anybody wants any levels then i will post,just a lot to post here for no reason,thanks and i hope someone understands.

I have no idea why your GP didn't increase your dose with a TSH of 9. The lab also says 'under-replaced with thyroxine'. He should increase on each blood test usually about 25mcg each time until your TSH is around 1 or you feel well. I have been to my doctors surgery today and spoken to the woman on reception about this,she looked at my print off that i had and the letter that was sent to me a day after my blood test stating....The result of your recent TFT blood test suggests that you continue on your current dose of Levothyroxine and will repeat the blood test in 3 monts,please can you make an appointment nearer that time. She told me yes its all ok and within range but not to take her word for it so she will make an appointment to see a doctor.You never get to see the same one here for some reason,i think its a drop off before they get a permanent surgery,they come and go within a matter of weeks.Can anyone please advise me on how i can fight this if the doctor says yes you are in range,clearly i am not and the result says so.
But you're very clearly not in range, so how can anyone argue that you are? I would just politely say that you have all these hypo symptoms: (list them), that your TSH is clearly very out of range, that every single thyroid book written by endocrinologists for patients says that your TSH should be much nearer the lower end than the higher anyway, and that 50mcg is a pretty small dose. It's probably a good thing that you'll see another doctor as they're more likely to agree to prescribe you more but if they don't then is it possible to switch to another surgery? I know that GPs seem to be fairly clueless about thyroid conditions but I don't think it would be hard to find one who can read "Serum TSH level (XaELV).....Above range....9.0 miu/L (0.3-5.0) Suggests under replaced with Thyroxine-Outside reference range." and think 'maybe I should raise this patient's thyroxine dose?'.
