Blood test results after TT op, help me please I am in despair and totally alone...

TSH level 1.01 miu/L (0.34-5.6)

TPO 146 iu/mL ( 0.0-10.0). Above high limit range

Serum vit b12. 373 ng/L (110.0- 914.0)

I have Graves' disease and TED my TT op was on 18/6/13

I have been extremely ill since and my Dr refuses to listen to my symptom and read any literature I present him with,,, I keep hitting brick wall, he hasn't even asked for sufficient thyroid blood test just TSH, he just says I have to wait for my antibodies to settle down,,, my rages are so bad my husband has walked out on me , my family can't cope and deserted me, I have no one and I'm home alone and desperate,,,,

I really feel for you, I am sorry I do not know enough about your condition to advise. I am hypo and take 100mcg levo and my B 12 was same level as yours and I was advised on here that it needs to be over 500 so I use a sublingual spray 2400iu daily and this has helped me so maybe it could help you too. I am sure someone else will be able to advise more, but if you feel your G.P. is not listening or helping you have you thought about changing to a different one or is it possible to see one of the private ones that can be requested from this site. I really hope you can get some more help. I know you feel desperate and alone but I and others on this site will be thinking of you

Thank you so much, I'm much calmer now, I'm thinking of getting dressed up and walking down to the local pub, I've only been twice, but on my own its a bit daunting,

I have seen another doctor today,,,brick wall...they have refer me back to the quack supposed to be an Endo but hasn't a clue he was just interested in ripping my precious thyroid out and ruining me altogether

In 18 mth I only saw him twice the rest of my useless time wasting visits I saw his so called specialist nurses, who didn't have a clue about Graves' disease only thyroid troubles, and had never heard of this site only use the British thyroid site, and never heard of any Graves' disease at all,,,, useless the other time I meet my Endo was went they called him into my appt to convince to have my thyroid removed ......and they only tested for TSH and T4 have kept crossing out the T3 test on my bloods envelope but I kept reinstating it ...that was the only way I could get it tested!!!!! Sooo many brick wall, I haven't the energy to climb them anymore....I give in....I'm off to the pub with my white stick in hand he he he.... Anyone tries to attack me in the dark will get wacked with my stick he he he ,,,,seriously I really do have a wicked sense of humour xxx

Thanks for that, I have worked extremely hard for over 40 years and now thankfully retired , I will not go private, why should I ...I have paid lots of taxes and my NI all my life , I will demand proper treatment on the NHS, if I had cancer, diabetes I would get proper treatment and meds ,,,this situation is absolutely appalling.....xx

I know you are concerned about your antibodies and I have just read a link that says powdered Vitamin C can help. (always take supplements 4 hours after levo). This is an excerpt (I have just realised the excerpt below has exactly the same name as you dated 2009).

Thank you so much I will get down to the shops this morning, by hook or by crook ,he he he, I will get some vit C and b12 xxxx as my dr will take no notice even if I printout the evidence!!! I have given up on that whole practise as they have all discussed my case and left me in limbo!!!!

They say I must wait until I get my referral back my useless Endo who seems to know nothing about Graves' disease and was only interested in ripping my precious and very sadly missed thyroid out!!!!

OMG brick walls all along my pathway to a healthy happy future!!!!

I will consult with my pharmacist as he is brilliant and is really helpful, we have chatted several times, I will also speak to the one in Boots in my town centre xxxx
