It's normally given as 1 grain is equivalent to 100mcg of levothyroxine.
If you work it out mathematically it comes out at 1 grain = 75mcg (T3 being about 4 x as potent as T4). This recent study comparing levo to NDT found the effective dose to be 88mcg levo to 1 grain, which is exactly halfway between the two.

So the cautious approach would be 1 grain for every 100mcg levo, but you may find you need more.
Have a look at the Nature-Throid web site:

I think that a number of people will find that too low a dose of Nature-Throid, but it represents a fairly safe initial estimate in the eyes of the makers.

In 3 grains there is 114mcg T4 Levo & 27mcg T3 that's why I thought it would be near to 150 Levo as I believe its needed to drop down on the T4 when adding T3 so wernt too sure thought 3 grains was nearest
Thanks Rod
You must take account of the fact that one microgram of T4 does not have the same effect as one microgram of T3.
Somewhere between three and five micrograms of T4 to a microgram of T3 seems a reasonable range for guesses.
