Can t3 cause nausea???

When I take my t3 in the evening I'm fine it's just when I wake up and take it I then feel sick till I take my next dose. Anybody know if this is normal???

Hi Do you always split the do in half and try and take 12 hours apart.? Also are you increasing slowly on blood results, T4 and FT3 and tSH. Was your T4 too high and FT3 too low? Did you need to reduce your T4 when put on T3?These all matter.

It is not a common side effect. I cannot take my half T3 early, as I have to take all my vital cardiac drugs then. I take it later in the morning, always from food, second half PM. Have you tried this.? I have frequent bloods so I know it does not effect my intake of T3.

I have only just started my tabs am on 3 20mcg tablets a day. I don't know what my results are as was put on it due to full removal of thyroid. I'm only t3 until I have seen my oncologist on Tuesday to see if I need radioactive iodine treatment then I will see my endo to decide if I need the levo as well as t3

Hi I am sorry for this to have happened to you. I think you are very wise to wait until you have seen the Endo. I would also ask for your blood tests + ranges, receptionist or consultant`s secretary. Next time, when there ask for the print out of results, hospitals usually take about a week. Chase them if not but make sure you have the ranges.It is quite common to need T4 ( Levo) and T3 after thyroid surgery, once stable from the OP..
