Hi I had a tt 3 years ago after having nodules. Thyroid blood test at that time was normal . Could I have had subclinical hypothyroidism back then ?

Im curious because I have normal tsh now and have loads thyroid symptoms

What do you mean by "normal tsh"?

Do you have the number and the reference range?

Last year 2.8 this year 1.7 I think. Doc wouldn't give me a print it was hard enough getting the reading

It is your legal right to have a print out of YOUR blood test results. Don't take no for an answer. He is in the wrong.

I had thyroid nodules 3 years ago and my levels were in their " normal range" after taking 5mcg of carbizamole for about 5 months I stopped this before radio iodine treatment and then went really under active

I am still having all sorts of problems as now no thyroid function

I'm sorry u feel so poorly but you have come o the right place I have learned so much in the last 3 weeks and commend all the people on here for their time and support

If only our gps and endos could be this way we old live better well informed lives

hi Julia, just seen your post there. was wondering why did you have the rai if you were in normal range? did you have swelling? I ask because I have a multi nodular goitre and my consultant tried to talk me into have the rai. I decided not to as It is working ok at the moment and I don't want to plunge into under active. the problem with me at the moment is my neck has swelled a lot in the past year, slight tightness and more unsightly. im waiting to be called for my second biopsy soon and don't wanna be talked into something Im not sure of!. I appreciate any advice you may have, take care
