I'm due to have an op for Parathyroid, I have most of the symptoms but also I am suffering with the soles of my feet( a type of numb and tingly feeling ) also I have a burning feeling in my mouth, can anyone tell me if these symptoms are due to my Parathyroid problem. Thanks in advance

Hyperparathyroid
I usually point anyone with a parathyroid question at this site:
It is in Florida. Some of the tests they mention have different units and ranges. The people behind the site are trying to get patients to go there to have parathyroid operations. But it is full of useful and good information.
Make sure you allow plenty of time to read it! There is lots there.

Meant to say, as soon as anyone mentions tingle or anything like that, I want to ask if they have had a B12 test?
I still have the burning tingly feet now, and i had my parathyroids removed about 25 years ago, i only realy notice it when im in a quiet enviroment, or i have been walking a bit too much , and my feet seem to feel worse then, for me ive just about got used to it, hope you manage to sort things out x x x
Thanks for your reply as there are so many symptoms I've never seen this problem as one of them. I was wondering If anyone else was suffering with it . Thanks again
Hi,
Hope you don't mind me asking but could you list some of your symptoms for me. I am due to see my endo today and have a suspicion that my parathyroid is misbehaving so need as much evidence as possible to be able to ask for a scan.
Thanks
Moggie x
