Hi. Yes you are not alone , sometimes my back pain is worse than my stomach! Had x rays on my back it was so bad but nothing showed up so the cause is ins. I also get awful groin pain as well, it's a nightmare! I sit most nights with a hot water bottle!! Hope this helps

Hi yes i suffer with awful back pain usually before i have a really bad morning of ibs symptoms ie constant visiting the loo :( I usually dose up with buscopan and paracetamol which eases things a little and a hot water bottle or warm bath usually helps to ease things if i am able to do that (with 3 young children not always easy!)

I also tend to get back pain which seems to be connected to my IBS as both often flare up simultaneously. As I have IBS-D, I often take co-codamil (paracetomol and codeine) as codeine slows down the bowel as well as being a very effective painkiller. But don't take it if you have IBS-C, it will make matters worse!!

yes! especially when I am having a flair. Yoga has been great for my back pain, since I try not to use medication. If you don't want to go to a class, try a youtube video :)
