only you can tell

I personally didn't get on with either I went back to my doc and I'm on alverine and buscopan for cramps and loperamide for D. Everyone finds different things work for them and its a matter of trial and error. I also take a probiotic and multi vitamin every day

I also didn't get on with either but I take a multivitamin every day, Multibionta by Seven Seas, it really has made a lot of difference to my overall health; probiotic is also contained within these multivitamins. I found out by reading an article that these are the best ones you can buy.

I am waiting for the dietician to get back to me when trained so that I can start on the FODMAP diet.

Best of luck

For me I find Buscopan the best I can't take peppermint tablets in any form I either get heartburn and indigestion or painful bowel spsams which I know is what peppermint oil is meant to help with but we are all very different inside. Good luck in finding out what suits you better and I hope your IBS comes under control soon.
