Hi fellow sufferers, has anyone experience of the Mini-go irrigation device? It is a small hand held device. The hospital has given me the kit to try. I am finding it very difficult to use correctly and it causes me even more stress. I have IBS C, and for the last year an awful lot of bloating and extreme pain. I would be grateful to hear of others experience and/or any tips.Thank you. Ros.

Mini-go irrigation

I have a rectal intussusception and I was given the option of a mini go device but I opted for the Qufora Irrisedo flow device which holds 2 litres of water. I used to not be able to sleep at all but this device offers me some relief for up to 4 hours at night.
Hi Ros..I have used the mini irrigation system but didn't find it much help and also awkward to use...I have slow colonic transit. I then changed to the next step up the Qufora flow which is a bit easier to use but really didn't help me that much. I have now reverted back to taking magnesium tablets called Mag07 which I purchase on line from Finchley clinic. It is very good when you get the dose right. Not the cheapest remedy but might be worth a try for you as I found the irrigation systems a bit of a faff . Hope you get sorted .
Thank you for your reply, which I find interesting. I take Magnesium Citrate tablets in the evening but they don’t seem to be working as well as they used to. I was using glycerine suppositories before the hospital told me to use the mini-go, which I found much easier to use and with better results. This is such a horrible and stressful problem.
