Hey Ibs_1 I hope that you are okay today. I'm a long time sufferer with ibs and the first thing I'd say is have you been to the Dr at all about the black dots in your stool? Could literally be nothing but I'm sure no one in here, in good consciousness would say not to see your gp if you notice anything different with your stools. With that said, are you dealing with any stress or upset in your life at the moment?

Hi, I have previously been to the doctor about very dark coloured stool and two toned stool (half normal coloured amd then some bits being dark brown) a FIT test concluded no bloody in stool. Maybe i need to go again i am scared to go but will have to bite the bullet

A FIT test can detect blood in stool and possibly what your GP will suggest again anyway... as we are not medical it is difficult to say what these black dots are. Go back to the GP, and put your mind at rest. Worrying about it will only stress you out more and almost always it's never anything to worry about!

I have just realised i am pretty sure it was undigested passion fruit seeds lol. But i will monitor and go to the GP if it continues.

You will probably need the full set of tests (not just a FIT test) from your GP to rule out other things - this includes both blood and stool sample tests:

nhs.uk/conditions/irritable...

Statisitically, it is far more likely to be IBS, but always best to get checked out so you can put your mind at rest.
