Sounds a lot like ibs symptoms. The anxiety will definitely be making things worse too. I know what it's like to worry about cancer, it's always in the back of my mind but rest assured that the colonoscopy will show up anything bad (which I'm 99% sure it won't be!) so you will get some answers very soon. In the meantime try to relax, anxiety is a major trigger for me and definitely makes things worse.
Hiya! More than anything right now I'd say try to take it easy, not just for yourself but for your baby, too. He/she will be picking up on all that anxiety. I don't have any children but I do have severe Generalised Anxiety Disorder so I know only too well the effect it can have on your bowels and stomach. Panicking will only make things a million times worse. I know its far (FAR) easier said than done of course, but relaxing a little and focusing on your children is the best option right now, worrying wont get you anywhere. What helps you to relax? Maybe long baths or a slow Springtime stroll, glass of wine, some music, whatever helps you to wind down please please please do it as often as you can (maybe not the wine one though!). Enlist the help of family and friends if you need a day to yourself without worrying about your baby. Right now you need to focus on the health of you and your children, running around like a headless chicken worrying yourself half to death will make things worse, both physically and mentally. Like I say, i know its much easier said than done but try your best and thats all anyone can ask of you! Don't make up excuses for your anxieties, face them head on. I've recently done a bunch of video blogs on the subject if you check my other posts and want to watch
We're all scared, I know I for one am absolutely petrified that it'll turn out to be something worse, you'll learn to control that fear though don't worry
Sorry should have said - I was diagnosed with the 'ole' IBS - deep joy. At least it's not cancer and I certainly understand your fear there. I recently had a stool sample test for H Pylori but that came back as negative. I honestly don't think hormones help either - just a thought that I have as I have been going through the menopause for 7 years now and have been worse. I am waiting for a delivery of natural cream and menopausal capsules from wellsprings-health.com/page.... I suppose hormones when you are younger could also affect it and I could be just clutching at straws but it's worth a try and doctors seem to just fob you off.
