Has anyone tried pinaverium mentioned in this paper? Had a bad interaction with gastroenterology last time. Wondering if its because they think i haven't tried any of their suggestions but I had already tried them in the past (peppermint oil) and it gave me reflux and I dont even get spasms except with food allergies and cutting out those foods means i dont get them now.
Is it another medicine just for spasms? I read it restores gastric motility though which sounds good..

Looks like the American Gastroenterology guidelines are to use these drugs also:
The panel agreed on 8 recommendations for the management of patients with IBS-D. The panel made conditional recommendations for eluxadoline", rifaximin, alosetron, (moderate certainty), loperamide (very low certainty), tricyclic antidepressants, and anstispasmodics (low certainty). The panel made a conditional recommendation against the use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (low certainty).
Thank you for posting this. It is absolutely fascinating. There seems to be much potential here, and IBS et al are getting some attention. Cynical me, wonders who is funding it. I had never heard of Moxibustion, although I recently met a herbalist who specialises in the use of mugwort. A common weed in UK that we tend to ignore. she said it had many and various uses, but didn't go into detail. It will be interesting to see what has changed for Rome V.
