Have been having terrible stomach pains over the last few months like a twisting cramping feeling in upper stomach area , had a telephone appointment with doctor yesterday he said up my omprozole to 2 a day try mebeverine and gaviscon he mention eibgrastro thats wat the pain could be anyone know anything about this and does the mebeverine work just sick off it all everyday just pain in stomach i do have ibs and bam aswell. I do have f2f appointment with doc next friday hopefully he can figure out wats going on

Hi,It looks like he's trying to cover all the basics with the omeprasole and gaviscon. The mebeverine is an antispasmodic used for cramping due to ibs. I take it. I take it 3 times a day at present. I usually then try to get myself off it but all I need is a bad flare up of ibs symptoms and I end up back on it again. You might want to try peppermint - that's good for cramping from trapped wind. Ginger is good for settling your stomach.
