I am female, 83 years old and have had stomach problems for most of my life, I have not been diagnosed with IBS but have all the symptoms. I keep trying probiotics, imodium , kaolin and morphine mixture but nothing helps for long.

Sorry to hear this cal428orie. You will know from reading the posts here, that some remedies work for some people but many do not work, or do not last.
I am trying amitriptyline at present. It is working well but causes bad constipation, so I am now dealing with this as best I can. However, I would much rather deal with this than the pain and all the symptoms of IBS. It might be worth a try.
Unfortunately you can't diagnose yourself with IBS and it isn't a good idea to do so. Probably best to visit the GP to get some tests run:

Let us know how you get on.
Thanks very much for your reply, I am terrified of having tests in case it is something
serious.
Statistically it is far more likely to be IBS than anything else. In the remote chance it is anything else, there are treatments, which will help you to get better. Until you know what it is, you won't know how to proceed to get yourself well again.
If you are diagnosed with IBS, check back in here since there is much that can be done to help. Good luck.

Thanks Petrina, so sorry you have that.
I have been taking Amlodipine tablets for blood pressure for many years and am wondering
if that could be the cause of my stomach problems. Has anyone elese on here experienced that?
