Not sure why you have a different prep? I was also the 2 week pathway but not because of a positive FIT; it was because I'd lost a stone in less than a month (although GP refused to send me to gastro so I ended up paying to see someone and it's IBD). Another forum often talks about people on the 2 week but seems we still get Moviprep or whatever the hospital decides is the right one. Good luck anyway; I am sure it will bit be cancer as there as so many reasons why people have positive FIT tests...

I knew what you meant 🤣 what is the other forum you spoke about? As I’ve only been on this one . More knowledge is what I require, I’ve only got 2 more sleeps and I’ll find out I’m thinking either my diverticula has changed not sure if that’s even possible that’s how much information I have on diverticula and IBS the two conditions contradict each other !!!

Does chrons or ulcerative colitis come under IBD Ive gone private twice and then referred back to nhs and the first time was really good and I received treatment quickly. The second time unfortunately was in Covid times I got sent for a small bowel investigation and the letters that gave me results and further information that if ny conditions continued or changed for the worse I was meant to have a colonoscopy asap but they never arrived at my door🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

The lady said the prep that I’ve got is half the amount of the last one I had .

Starting with a light breakfast, light lunch stop all food intake at 3pm.

18.00 pm Step 1) empty doze 1 and make up to 500 ml water stir till dissolved .

Step 2) additional 500 ml of clear fluid into a different jug

Step 3) drink the full content of dose 1 and alternate with step 2 I have an hour to drink all that!!!!

At 21.00 pm Repeat steps 1,2 &. 3 for dose 2 which contains two sachets A & B into a clean jug the paper version that the nurse gave me said and wrote down first dose 1/2 hour to drink and second dose over an hour yet if I follow the steps on the paper version of instructions I have 30 mins for doses followed by the other 500ml of clear fluids over a 30 minute period!!!!!! Why can’t they make all this more simple!!!!!! Frustrates me which triggers my anxiety to a new level sorry for the long reply! 🤦‍♀️

Hi -lilleybet, I've done that prep a few times and hate it but it has to be done. Too much conflicting information, so I stuck to what was stated in the hospital leaflets. Do you know what stage of Diverticulitis you are? There's 3 stages and at stage 3 your Spleen is removed. It's a serious illness. All the best 😍

Hi lilybet, So sorry to hear of your difficulties as it must me socstressful and cause you anxiety being away from your child. I can't even imagine how you feel or cope with it all. If you're in the UK, there should be information on the NHS website. If not just type your question into your search engine. Either way, the hospital/clinic has a duty of care to provide you with the information prior to your appointment. If possible you can call your Gp, the hospital or clinic to ask for the information to be sent to you. Fingers crossed you get it in time. All the best and Merry Christmas to you too. Thanks 😍

Yes I’ve been doing slot of research and found an educational website from a professor who’s knowledge is valuable. My G. P is usually on the ball but has recently prescribed me with morphine and co-codamol which are the worst for diverticular disease 😂🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

All preps differ in the amount you take and when you take them! But they all do the same in the end - flush you out!

The other forum is Crohns and Colitis fb group and huge amounts of people write asking for advice and giving advice. Try asking...Both Crohns and Colitis are IBD yes. I have patchy pancolitis. but I also have IBS.

Hi, I had a rushed 2 week hospital appt made by my GP to be done at hospital. This was traumatic but thankfully all clear, however, that was about 8 years ago and my symptoms have got worse recently. I had to do the enema prep myself as it was too early in the morning for a nurse to do this for me. No solid food to be taken from previous day. Not pleasant, but wish you luck.
