I have been trying to get a doctors appointment for the past 2 weeks with no joy!!
For about a month it doesn’t matter what I eat I get stomach pains does this sound like IBS? I have also got so much wind and have noticed that sorry this is gross 🤮 my farts are smelling like rotten eggs. The past week I have also noticed my left side of stomach looks slightly bigger and on feeling feels a little swollen at top but soft to touch. I’m so worried but can’t seem to get doctors appointment.

I go quite frequently sometimes 2/3 times a day! Usually hour or so after eating I’ll have stomach cramp/pain and have to go to toilet, Then the pain goes.
Do you have a method of contacting your doctor to ask for an appointment through the messaging service on their website? It seems many surgeries are moving towards this method of communication and it is easier to book an appointment this way i.e. tell them your symptoms and they will book something in for you. Statistically it is more likely to be IBS but you need some tests. If you are finding it impossible to get any response from them, maybe contact your MP.
No our doctors still don’t have Econsult available. I know they use a my surgery app but awaiting email back from the administration to confirm I have been set up, they are so slow. I’m going to try them again tomorrow as it’s getting silly now and yes it this doesn’t work I’ll look at contacting town MP. Thank u
You could try your Gp again. Or you could even try 111. I called my Gp and was told they only had 111 appointments left and to ring them. I did and they arranged Gp to call me.
Also GPs keep a few spaces for urgent cases which they dont advertise but its worth calling the surgery or go to a 24/7 medical centre if there is one nearby. IBS makes your stomach and intestines super sensitive and isnt necessarily anything dangerous
