Ibs flare up

Ibs has reared up again bloated discomfort very painful and extreme wind it's outrageous...why does it cause so much pain I am now getting right hand side pain that goes in my lower back down my buttock and then my hip hurts so much my doctor has put it all down to my ibs...does itreallycause u so much pain and discomfort I also have health anxiety so every pain I'm getting I'm automatically thinking it's terminal illness related..

Hello, I have a lot of your same symptoms and have extreme health anxiety also. I'm terrified to have more tests run. Have you had an ultrasound on your ovaries?

No I've been asking my Dr about it and he said it's nothing I think it's cuz I have health anxiety he's not taking me seriously but I'm going to get a second opinion as I have been asking for a while and getting nowhere xxx

Hi yes I get bad lower back pain and hip pain I think a combination of trapped wind and a tense digestive system? Buscopan seems to help with the trapped wind. X

I also have anxiety and went for a scan but all ok just the IBS x

I took buscopan today it's eased it but not for long I'm going to ask for a scan xx

Hi Natsteveo , have you looked into doing The York test for food intolerances? I've been having the same issue and I'm doing one of these tests! It's helped so many people. Docs try and talk you out of it but what's to lose if it helped millions of others?

Hi natzsteveo im just about to take the york test its 24.99 to get a result the about 300 for further tests but worth it if you get answers.

Well I've just been Drs again she just said to take some fibregel for a few weeks if that's not help then come back and I will send u for tests!!!! I just don't understand why she can't refer me for tests anyway but if I've still got it at the weekend I'm going to A+E to be on the safe side to put my mind at rest xx
