Hi all

Hope you all had a good pain and sprout free Christmas

Reading some feeds today I see there is a problem with Wind-eze supply, a couple of weeks ago a GP recommended an over the counter/ shop floor product called COLPERMIN IBS RELIEF it’s basically Peppermint oil capsules, I’ve tried it a couple of times with good results but that could just be a fluke and the mystery of IBS behaving or not, might be worth a try good luck all in finding some relief and a Healthier Happy New Year x

Hi I've tried Colpermin IBS tablets before and yes they do work but sometimes there may be times if you have a big flare up they don't have an effect. Some of us on this site are taking Meberivin for the relief because like myself I am unable to get the Colpermin IBS from my GPon prescription, I think it's because every surgery has a budget on spending plus the NHS are trying to cut down on costs everywhere at the moment, But what I do take that has had the same effect is Peppermint oil capsules that I buy from Holland and Barrett and at times you can get them on offer like buy one get one half price plus discounts etc. Colpermin is expensive over the counter so the next best thing is the Peppermint Oil capsules they do work most of the time and they are Also good for when you have heartburn . Regards

I too am on Mebeverine have been since the IBS started find it doesn’t always work when a flare up occurs I just ride it out with the help of Imodium but for the cramps I found the COLPERMIN helped I bought it myself did not ask for on prescription the NHS is under enough stain without me adding to it, it was just suggested to me by a GP not prescribed, I totally agree with NHS cutting down on costs I’ve just had my blood thinners changed to cheaper ones but not as cheap as Wafarin thankfully, I also have a pacemaker so I think I have had my fare share out of the NHS that’s why I buy my own COLPERMIN and Imodium

Great to hear other people's results on compering, I was recommended them by my daughter who swears by them but I do not seem to find they help very much at all. Sometimes the symptoms are so intermittent it very difficult to say if one product from another really works.

mine field isn’t it, and we are not all the same so when you find something that suits you you stick with it until your body decides nope I don’t like that any more

Haven’t been able to get them for ages so I have Wind Settlers instead. Same product, different brand. Bought a lot at once when I saw them in Morrison’s.
