How frustrating! Can you see another GP? The first one I saw was very patronising and I told him off for it. Later, I saw a different GP who did take me seriously and made a referral to a gastroenterologist. Sometimes you have to be very persistent. The GP who did my referral admitted he knew nothing about gut problems 🙄

Hi I understand how you are feeling. Sometimes I can be like that. Itchy backside and its annoying. At the moment I'm not too bad with regards to loose stools. But my advice to you by what you have mentioned is the small red bits are just the blood vessels that have been caught by either going to the toilet quite a lot and also wiping alot than normal. Just take laxido if you feeling that your bunged up. As for the itchy backside I sometimes get that. I can recommend a cream that actually numbs the area and it's called XYLOPROCT Ointment. Ask your doctor for it. It will stop the itching. But only use a small pea size amount as it's a bit qreasy. It does work so give it time. Regards.

I have has similar symptoms and like you stopped taking laxido. I used a boots suppositories and found them much better. I only used them twice, not daily. Didn't have much faith in them working but I've never been constipated since and I know I've got plenty left if I need them in the future.
