"Last couple weeks cannot have a BM" Do you really don't have any BM at all or is it currently more like (overflow) diarrhoea? I suggest to contact your GP in first instance.
You could try macrogol as a laxative and additionally bisacodyl. But be careful with bisacodyl because when you suffer from fecal impaction bisacodyl could be to agressive, harsh for your intestines because it also has a stimulating effect besides the fact it attracts water to the intestines and this stimulating effect can cause a lot of colic like pain especially when you suffer from fecal impaction or severe constipation. Senna and cascara sagrada are also an option.
Best to make an urgent appointment with your GP in the first instance.
Hello, I have problems with bowel movement and have found Dulcolax in liquid form, the best method to keep me regular. I only take it when no bowel movement for 2 days. Initially, only take 5 mls or if that does not work, then the following evening, take 10 mls. Hope this helps. Take care.
If no BM for two weeks, you are best to see the doctor. A nurse might give you an enema which would feel like a great relief I am sure. I am not sure what happens after thyroidectomy. Do you take meds or some kind of replacement therapy? Sorry for my ignorance. If so, they might need to be tweaked because it sounds like your system is going much too slowly. Maybe you can talk to the doctor about that?
I take T3 & T4 everyday for the rest of my life but that’s ok. Someone turned me on to Herb-Lax by Shaklee figured I’d give it a try
Try Probioform. I nearly ended up in hospital with same problem. A clinic suggested Probioform and Oxypowder. I was so grateful because it was an awful time.
