terminal bowel cancer

hi all found out last week that I have terminal bowel cancer and am dying. Too much to take in at the moment, have to have a picc line fitted next week and then chemotherapy on the same day ..

You will be, it is. It's new and there's no template response. Small small steps but make sure those are the steps that fit your shoes - not everyone has the same way of dealing with the same situation. I was thinking just yesterday about, in a different situation, how I reacted to a massive event, not imagining that I would have done it that way. If I look at that and what you have in front of you, I guess I'd say operate on instinct and your own mental/emotional needs until you feel afloat. That might help filter out the stuff important to YOU. So many people here are super fond of you, that's so obvious. We'll try to help, advise, we'll definitely listen. You can rant, roll your eyes to the ceiling, be as vulnerable as you want to share. It's all okay. xxx

So sorry to hear this! As others have said try to stay strong and I hope the chemotherapy helps in some way. Not sure if you’ve been given macmillan support or anything but they will be really good for things such as symptom control and any other advice you might need. You’ve obviously got good support on here too! I’ll be thinking of you xx
