Upper abdominal pain
As you say, it seems to be a stomach issue. For me at least, IBS seems to be solely below that, in the intestines.
I have had issues with GERD and upset stomach, but that seems totally taken care of by omeprazole and adjusting my pillows so I'm not lying flat.
I'm sure others will be along with some better advice.
Hi,
Have you considered it may be your gall bladder and bile acid malabsorption which is a common secondary IBS complaint?
Gp put me on ppis for same pain turns out I had lots gallstones , request a scan from your doctor to rule this out x
Sounds like gallstones
I have the same pain and have been scanned for gallstones - all came back clear. Mine seems to get worse when eating larger quantities of food, or it may be a certain trigger food that I have yet been unable to identify.
Hi,
until recently, I was looking for the cause of such pain. My grandpa suffers from similar problems, and he has now been diagnosed with gallstones. So I have studied a lot about this topic. The liver and gallbladder are located in the area below the right ribcage. Therefore I would rather look for the cause in one of these two organs. While surfing the internet in the evening and looking for some answers, I found this page medicspark.com/symptoms/abd... , which I also saved. Many times I had various abdominal pains and I couldn't find anything relevant, so I also found many answers for myself here. Maybe try going through this and possibly you'll find something less serious. However, it would be best to visit a doctor and prevent the condition from worsening. Fingers crossed for you.
