Two weeks ago my doctor told me I have costochondritis inflammation of the catrtlige in my right ribs,I can't take ibuprofen so I take paracetamol four times a day,she said it could take up to 6 weeks to recover.

When I get it it stops me in my tracks I can't move,I was wondering if anyone else has suffered with this condition, although I wouldn't wish it on anyone, thankyou for reading .

Hi I suffer with right side rib dull ache for years now. Coincidentally this inflammatory rib cart lodge I have heard mentioned three times this week. Once on the tv then a friend mentioned it and now read on here. I have never heard of it before so I am curious to explore. I have had numerous scans tests etc all clear.

It is a mystery to what this dull pain I have is so I may mention this to my doc and see if can test but I have had for approx five years. Docs show no overly concern.

Thanks Victoria

I had it when I had COVID , it lasted me three days, scary I never felt anything like it, it dissipated. My doc said it was due to viral infection .

Hi.I suffer from this condition bit I'm not able to take ibrufen because it causes me to have stomach problems.

I get painkillers prescribed by my GP.

Also it's worth mentioning that I also suffer from a very similar condition called bornholm that is caused by a virus I'm told by my aGP.

Take care.

Life seems like a mystery at the moment as you can't see a doctor unless they ask you to go in.
