Daily ibs: Is it possible to suffer from some... - IBS Network
Daily ibs
I've had it for 40+! Symptoms sound familiar. Definitely have it checked out.
I've suffered IBS for 17 years
Definitely. That isn’t that long a time to be honest. It is a condition that can have periods of calm but is easily activated again, usually by some form of stress even if that stress isn’t always apparent to you. I’ve had IBS for very many years and it hasn’t been always active but presently have been suffering with it for nearly 8 years. Even though I don’t think it was caused by food I can now only tolerate a very restrictive diet. Hopefully your symptoms will improve soon. Good luck.
Yes you can have Ibs for 18 months. Is it everyday and have you had it diagnosed? I have had Ibs for 35 years but there are days when it’s ok. Hope you start having ok days soon too. Take care
As others have said, you can have IBS for a very long time! Most people will have some really bad effects for a while and often for no reason, it can temporarily 'right' itself. Mine was always a couple of bad weeks to a few bad weeks (all symptoms you mention) then in between I had some okay weeks with less aggravated symptoms. I tried to monitor why but even though I kept a food diary, there did not appear to be a proper pattern. I did find that too much rich food or overload of fibre was definitely not good! I also found when I was more stressed things took a turn for the worse...I hope you find something to relieve your symptoms as it is so unpleasant and we all know that others just do not understand!
Yes it is! And for much much longer, but as this sounds new and different for you definitely get it checked out!
