Hi!

Suggest you get a phone consultation with your GP, he/she will find a way forward for you. Us IBS sufferers are finding the current situation is raising our anxiety levels as I am sure it is for you but our great NHS is always there for you. Take care

Do you eat a low fodmap diet and just like eat bananas that would help eased the process... I blame the old oven that made me ill.... Since i moved to a different area I've improved massively and back to the normal routine eating habits altho do have an issue on losing weight as so called a nurse was kinda concerned that im still under weight and did say the door was always open... But to this current suitation, i won't be visiting a dr as I'm at high risk..... Will visit the dr once all this had calmed down..

There are treatments available for your symptoms which your GP should be able to help you with via a phone consultation. There are nerve pain agents to stop the pain or antispasmodics if you are also experiencing diarrhea. Since you have access to the internet you could get yourself acquainted with fodmaps if not done so already. They are carbohydrates found in some fruits and vegetables - there may be specific ones that are causing you problems. You eliminate all fodmaps for 2 weeks which should help to alleviate symptoms and then introduce them in small amounts one by one for 3 days and then wait up to 4 days for symptoms. I am currently taking Alflorex probiotic which has been scientifically studied and found to help people with IBS. This is available on a free 2 month trial on joining theibsnetwork.org. Alongside Linaclotide (for IBS-C) I am mostly pain free. Once you start taking action or if possible get someone to make phone calls for you if you're feeling too ill, you will start to feel more in control which should help reduce anxiety.
