Sorry to hear that! It may just feel like a prolaspe. I have often wondered about that myself but then the next day, it feels different again. How are you feeling now? Any improvement?

Hi Maureen I think it’s my piles sorry to be so Frank but we no what it’s like . I’ve had a upset stomach as well today so instead of being constipated if had the big D as I call it . So feeling lots of pressure in my back passage . I’m visiting my grandchildren in England and got a 6 hour journey in the car tomorrow so hope everything calms down by then . Just resting now . But I’m sure your right. Will feel better once I get home .

Hi Maureen doctor examined me and says I had piles not a prolapse . But pain in my right side is bad and again been told scar tissue is causing this . But all my stool tests are clear from cancer so that’s good . But means I’m on the waiting list to see gastro so apart from pile cream laxido and parcetomol . That’s it so just have to muddle through myself . Hope your doing ok . And have a lovely Christmas . 😊

Well at least you don't have a prolapse, we have to be greatful for small mercies, I suppose. What is the scar tissue from, just curious as I often wonder if I would have scar tissue from my emergency ceasarean I had 29 years ago! Enjoy your Christmas too!

I had my appendix removed and a bowel operations when I was 2years old 64 years ago . Then caesareans both emergency 34 and 36 years ago . So scar tissue causes the bother as well as it’s made my bowel narrow . But to be honest pain is constant some days . Been told they can’t take it away as will only form more scar tissue . Up since 5 with pain . But nothing I can do . Just take the pills and hope for the best 😊

So sorry to hear that, I guess that's why more women have IBS than men!

Hi I was diagnosed with a thinning rectocele it’s like a bulged feeling at back of vagina which gives feeling of not being empty it can be after loads ifBig D or the constipation. Can get very uncomfortable at times. I’ve had IBS for over 30 years and GP said it’s been the constipation and straining that’s caused it. Hope you arnt offended by my reply. Quite graffic 🙈 hope this helps. Hope your feeling better very soon x

Could you share the symptoms of a thinning rectocele? I’ve had problems lately, like you long history of IBS (35 + years) plus more recently Diverticular disease (with 1 acute episode of Diverticulitis leading to small perforation and hospitalisation). Have had high vaginal pain/discomfort after Bowel movements recently.Have held back contacting GP due to Covid situation. Have they offered any treatment. Thanks

Hi no treatment offered only advice to use the glycerin suppositories and not to get constipated which is hard as you know with IBS. Most times don’t feel I’ve emptied my bowels. Like a heavy/pressure feeling in back of vagina. I do get shooting pains in that area too. Painkillers and resting lying down helps eventually but with busy lifestylesNot much time for that. Now for the too much information bit….. GP asked me to feel back of vagina when constipated and bare down. You can feel the feaces I thought it was unusual lumps that had grown at first 🙈 try not to lift

Heavy objects. Hope

This helps 😊

Did the GP mean push the area behind the vagina? If this helps with constipation I will try it.

Could you please tell me exactly what item you used for pelvic floor strengthening. I also have been told that this is a problem for me, but, other than physical therapy, I am not sure what to do. I don't want to go to PT now because of covid. I am in the US. Also, is it something I could get on Amazon.

Thank you so much, and glad it helped you. x

I have prolapse problems and a tip I was given by a physio is to sit on the toilet with feet on a stool. It changes your position and does help a bit

I bought one last week as it’s a bit strange getting use to it . But it fits round the toilet .
