I keep getting right upper abdominal pain that travels to right shoulder, suspecting gallbladder I went to the GP and bloods and ultrasound were normal. Waiting on endoscopy. Anyone had similar, IBS or otherwise?? It's right were tum meets ribs.
I feel a bit like drs are brushing me off, anything persisitant needs to be taken seriously and investigated but I'm told repeatedly to watch diet (currently living on rice mostly, very little alcohol, very little fats and processed foods).
Many thanks!!
Excuse me while I bump my head on this wall

I've got IBS and gallstones. IBS pains for me are always lower down in my abdomen, whereas gallbladder pains are like you describe. The first ultrasound they said I don't have stones, but polyps. Second ultrasound (5 months later) showed stones and biliary sludge. They said the stones can 'hide' and don't always show up on the scan. Also if there is intestinal gas in the way the ultrasound can't see through it. That was my experience, but it's worth waiting for the endoscopy as it could be something else.
