Since last week I have had an ache above my stomach under the lower left rib and slightly to the centre, not a stabbing pain just an ache but constant. I have been told years ago I had IBS but never had any tests but I always had problems on the lower left side then.
I seem to have been burping a lot this week and today felt like I had brought some fluid up in my mouth but it wasn't acidic. I also had bad wind last week which subsided and I was fine Thursday onwards and this then started Sunday afternoon and I have had since then. Would this be IBS ?
I have cut down on coffee but just seem to be having a bad week with it. Any body got any advice as its getting me down

The pain you mention is down to a build up your food. What I mean is when you eat and it enters the first intestine it filters through to the stomach,But if you have IBS this can build up and gives you either or both stomach cramps and wind. Its your bodies way of trying to digest your food. This can have a gassy effect or reflux. Perhaps try and take a laxative mixture like laxido. This might help relieve the build up and release any foods that is giving you discomfort. If the pain continues then speak to your GP about having an endoscopy. This is a camera that feeds into the backside which looks internally in the stomach area to see if there's any inflammation. But try speaking to your GP for options.
Hi the chest pains are probably anxiety pains. It's a sign of worrying and stress about what the problems maybe causing you with everything. This is normal but I know frustrating. If you feel your going to the toilet too much then I can recommend Lopermide. It decreases the diarrhoea. Ask your doctor if it's possible to have something for feeling stressed. But some doctors won't but you can only try. There is also a thing called an endoscopy. This is a camera that looks internally but from the other end. This allows the consultant to look around the stomach area like any inflammation and bleeds. Just to rule out certain things. But I think the chest pains relate to abit of worrying.
It depends to how far they use the camera. This went into both sections of the Bowel and stomach areas. Uncomfortable but was inserted to Where the consultant needed to see. So yes Endoscopy.
An endoscopy is an internal examination with a camera on a thin tube. There are two kinds for stomach/bowel/gastro probs, a gastroscopy, which goes in via the mouth, and a colonoscopy, which goes up the bottom! Have had both, pretty horrific but doable, more scary than painful. Hope this helps. 😎
