They are a blend of twenty billion live cultures probiotics.I was taking Bio Kult for about three weeks and was feeling quite good. But then had really bad stomach cramps and loose toilet.I couldn’t think of anything that I’d eaten to cause it.So I’ve stopped taking the Bio Kult Just in case But want another probiotic.

There are more and more reports that probiotics are very helpful for IBS. The trouble is that every ‘best probiotic’ review has a different winner. I would suggest reading what you can to see if it’s helped others with your symptoms.

Don’t buy too much but enough for what they recommend a sensible course is.

Only pick one with science behind it, preferably U.K. data unless you know anything about American science.

I use Alflorex as it has data from U.K. trials and is available at boots.

Like all solutions not everything works for everyone.

Good luck.

It’s worth taking note of Alflorex advice and whatever you try, give it 12 weeks. I hear so many people, not just IBS, saying ’oh, I tried so and so for a week and it made no difference’

Have a look on our website theibsnetwork.org/diet/prob... and here theibsnetwork.org/shop/ there are many products out there but few have clinical evidence

I used super 20 probiotics as I found Alforex costly. However after a week or so my tummy ache returned. I am now back on Alforex and after a few days tummy is OK. It is worth giving others a try to see what suits you.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Its just a case of researching and trial and error. At the moment I’m not taking anything just watching what I eat.x

You can save money on Alflorex if you use the 12 week programme they make available via IBS Network
