Laxido?

Hi everyone, I was prescribed laxido by my gastro to take for 6 weeks. 2 satchets daily. I took 2 satchets yesterday and this morning I woke up in agony. Really bad cramping pain. So bad that I passed out. I have been to the toilet 4 times today and my stomach still hurts on and off. Any idea if this could be the laxido or if there's something else? I hope it's just the laxido but not sure bc I know some people take this medication long term so surely it shouldn't cause pain like this

Sounds like it's too severe for you. Stimulant laxatives often cause cramping pain, gas and diahorrea. Speak to your gastro and ask for something les severe

I understand that Laxido is an osmotic laxative. 🤔

Yeh, sorry. I was prescribed cosmocol a while ago and cannot tolerate them, getting side effects like you describe, which are common. Try a milder stool softener or duculsoft,may help

I took Movicol it’s the same as laxido didn’t suit me my stomach was swollen and very painful you might have to try something else x
