Peppermint tablets
Good question! I’m going today to buy it! Yesterday I had a peppermint tea after every meal and I was good!! No cramps!
I tried colpromin but didn't do much to be honest
Yes I take these when the cramping starts and find they help. Better than Buscopan.
I also take an Alflorex Capsule once a day. It’s a gut bacteria that was recommended on here and it’s also helped calm things immensely.
I have been taking them for 3 months. I find one a day helps
If you’re sensitive to acid reflux tread carefully as peppermint oil can be acidic. I was using the oil regularly and it made me quite ill with reflux. My gp advised me to give it a miss for a few weeks and it cleared up after a course of omeprazole. Also check the quality of the oil. The cheaper ones can have a lot of additives that may trigger ibs. Peppermint tea is probably your best bet for starters.
I find Colpermin very effective - better than Buscopan. You do need to take them before food - I take mine first thing in the morning, whenever I have cramps.
Hi, it depends on what your problem is. It can reduce wind. If it's IBS and stomach pain and the runs then peppermint can make it worse. Peppermint is often recommended for IBS but I read that it actually irritates the gut. It certainly does with me!
tried peppermint ,probiotics -they work to a point -only thing that seems consistant is mebeverine -3 times a day
I use the capsules and the tea for stomach aches and they do help.
the election started making my stomach hurt again. Thank God Biden won. Hopefully the vraylar will keep on working!
Bobby who also uses ginger tea and capsules.
