I have had every darn Gastric test going of late. I have had constant stomach pain that is sometimes dull in nature, and at other times more painful The pain is usually around the belly button, burning or almost nerve like pain, but sometimes it is in the left and right lower abdomen and at times the lower back. If i push my belly in its painful. Some constipation but not to severe. I tested positive for SIBO Hydrogen last week, but that doesn't make sense either, not sure how to view those tests. The so-called experts say its IBS, other so called experts say no its not IBS. Does anybody have similar constant pain, unrelenting that has lasted for months like mine, also, Im not sure if its connected but I have Insomnia after years of being a great sleeper? Sick (excuse the pun) of going off to consultants each week, paying them their pension who offer me nothing..

Constant pain or not?
I've had this for about 3-4 years now, some days no pain other days a dull ache but the worst is agonising pain a few days per week. The worst thing is lack of sleep caused by this, I'm permanently tired, been told it's IBS, diverticuler disease, pelvic organ prolapse, nobody has ever gien me a definitive diagnosis, had all the 'tests' but don't bother going to docs anymore, I just live with it and try to watch what I eat
I know its so frustrating, the thing is that Drs only look after what they think they know, i was put on SSRI's etc but they will not have helped as im sure PPIs dont, all going into the mix. Is it the pain that keeps you from getting a good nights sleep? or is it your internal clock is messed up with the gut-brain axis, i will let you know how i get on with a new diet etc. By the way I believe this all started for me with a reaction to a drug, but I will never know as tummy problems can have no set start point. Its just unusual as I am a 58 year old male and that puts me in a rather rare area for first real IBS onset. If thats what it is, tested positive for SIBO as well..
